The root, also the basic Muladhara chakra, the 1st chakra positively affects sexuality, sensuality and desire, stability and a sense of security. Its color is red, it symbolizes energy, passion, strength, courage and love. It is the color of people born in mid-autumn, i.e. from October 24 to November 22, under the sign of Scorpio.

The base, root chakra connects us to the physical world. It gives us the strength to push through and persevere. The base chakra is the vital foundation and source of vital force for the higher chakras.

When the first chakra is open and functioning harmoniously, we experience a deep connection with the Earth, vitality, contentment and inner strength. On the contrary, when the chakra is blocked or closed, the body structure is weak and we have little suffocation of power.
