The best way to clean aquamarine is to rinse it with lukewarm water, but avoid hot water and prolonged soaking. Remove any dirt with a mild soap and a soft brush, then rinse the stone thoroughly.

• exposure to chemicals such as cleaning agents, acidic substances, etc.
• ultrasound,
• salt water.

To preserve aquamarine's energy, it is best to charge it with moonlight, by placing it on a crystal, or using incense such as white sage or palo santo.
