Indian Shaman style dream catcher

Indian Shaman style dream catcher. Beautiful home decoration. There is a hand-woven net in the trap, it is decorated with dyed feathers, wooden and plastic beads. Length approx. 70 cm. Illustrative image.

The history of dream catchers dates back to the mid-19th century. to the culture of the Ojibways, i.e. the Indians who were the original inhabitants of the Great Lakes region. They were used to protect children from diseases and evil spirits. These are hand-crafted objects, originally from a willow frame and a hand-woven web resembling a spider's web. Catchers are decorated with beads or other objects and often feathers. Traditional traps made of natural materials dry out and fall apart, they are not meant to last forever.

The catchers release only good dreams, which are feathered to the dreamer, while bad ones are caught in nets, beads, and other objects until the morning sun rays chase them away.

Where to hang the dream catcher?

It should ideally be placed above the bed, but it can be hung on a wall, in a space or on a window to reflect negative energy.

Each color has its own symbolism, and we can also choose a dream catcher according to color language.

The color turquoise represents the cold winter blue ray of confidence, into which the green ray of growth and new life begins to penetrate with the coming of spring. It is a fresh color that has a calming effect. The turquoise color is a ray of new discoveries, it helps us find ourselves and find the lost balance in life and feelings. Turquoise helps to achieve harmony and balance, calmness, emotional stability, recovery of memories, support of new discoveries and findings, self-awareness, balance, stability and tolerance, temperance, overcoming anxiety and stress. Expresses strong energy, personifying adaptability and increasing tolerance, empathy and inner strength.

Orange is a symbol of joy, friendship, pleasure and family togetherness. Orange is the most amazing color for its natural power and action. It is the color of joy, friendship and physical pleasure. The passion of these rays is a combination of red and gold. Joy is a pure emotion, elusive but heartfelt. As people get older, sometimes they lose the ability to rejoice, and yet it is a way of very easy pleasure or a deep, lasting feeling.

Brown is the color of the home, the hearth, the color in which we feel good. It is among the shades suitable for relaxation, meditation, inducing calmness and a sense of harmony.
