Incense Tibetan sticks - colorful incense strings Dhupaya
Colorful Tibetan incense strings Dhupaya are used in the Himalayas similar to incense sticks. All you have to do is stick them in a bowl of sand and light them. For centuries, these strings have been burned in Tibetan temples and traditionally set on fire by housewives in Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan. We supply in a box, mix of colors, string length approx. 12 cm.
Dhupaya fragrant strings are made by hand in Nepal by traditional methods . This is done using local aromatic herbs from the Himalayas, which are ground into a fine powder mixture. It is then wrapped in thin strips of Nepalese Elbow paper and gently twisted similarly to a rope into a braid. Among other fragrant substances include fragrant strings sandalwood , Himalayan cedar, nard - Nardostachis Jatamansi, May ringworm - Orchis Latifolia, flowers of Didymocarpus Leucocalyx, crushed chebuli, also called Nectar of immortality - Tinospora cordifaf, jiz.
Fragrant strings can be burned "standing" in various containers, such as incense burners and smoking bowls , filled with fine sand, where we can insert them similarly to incense sticks, light their ends and after a while of burning blow them out so that they only smolder. They can also be placed on wire mesh incense burners or in stone bowls.
Always make sure that the fragrant strings are in a safe area away from where burning could cause a fire. Keep strings out of the reach of children.
