Owyhee Opal
Owyhee blue opal is a relatively common opal, not classified as a gem, but its beautiful sky blue color makes it one of the most beautiful common opals ever . Owyhee Opal is named after the place where it was discovered, near the sacred Owyhee Indian Springs in Oregon, in 2003. It is sky blue in color but tends to be translucent when mined, but once exposed to air and loses water (dehydration) and drying, it gradually becomes opaque and acquires an increasingly beautiful blue color.
In addition to the metaphysical properties attributed to all opals without distinction (more HERE ), the blue Owyhee opal is far more associated with love, seduction , passion, desire and sensuality. It can be used to enhance feelings, experiences and release inhibitions . Owyhee blue opal is credited with the ability to promote conception if placed in the ground under a willow or fruit tree during a full moon.
Owyhee blue opal encourages love, spontaneity and dynamic creativity , improves communication and thinking. It affects the solar plexus chakra , neck and forehead chakra. It represents purity and intensity. It helps induce emotional balance, calms the mind and soul. It is an excellent stone for progress and development. It helps to connect consciousness and subconsciousness and to understand oneself.
Called the "angel stone", it facilitates communication between the earthly world and the universe.
This type of opal resonates with the energy of the Mother Goddess , which is why it is a suitable gift for mothers, including expectant mothers. The Mother Goddess is understood to be any goddess that is especially associated with motherhood and fertility. Goddesses are found in different cultures, e.g. Gaia, Durga, Demeter (Cérés), Coventina or Venus.
