Purpurite
Purpurite is a beautiful, rare purple mineral that is caused by the presence of manganese and iron. The shade depends on the amount of both elements, ranging from dark purple to lavender to pink. The name is derived from the Latin term for the color purple, lat. purpura. The deposits are in Australia, Namibia, France and the United States of America.
