Fragrant Tibetan strings for the sixth chakra Ajna
Traditional Tibetan scented strings for harmonizing the Third Eye Chakra with the aroma of juniper, damar resin, camphor and guggul to stimulate intuition and a pure perception of life. Strings are used in the Himalayan region similarly to incense sticks. Just stick them in a bowl of sand, hang them on a special stand, or put them in a wooden box and light them. For centuries these strings have been burned in Tibetan temples and are traditionally lit by housewives in Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan. Illustrative image.
Smell: sweetly resinous - woody - aromatic with camphor tones.
Basic principle: knowing being, seeing.
Third Eye Chakra (Ajna, pronunciation: ajna, forehead chakra) – positively influences intuition, inner guidance, consciousness and balances our own "I". Its color is indigo, it is a symbol of wisdom, openness, clarity and better communication. It is the color of the personal stones of people born at the time of the winter solstice, from January 21 to February 20, i.e. under the sign of Aquarius .
Scented strings are handmade in Nepal using traditional methods . Local aromatic herbs from the Himalayas are used for this, which are ground into a fine powder mixture. This is then wrapped in thin strips of Nepali Lokta paper and gently twisted like a rope into a braid. Among other aromatic substances, the scented cords contain sandalwood, Himalayan cedar, nard - Nardostachis Jatamansi, foxglove - Orchis Latifolia, flowers from Didymocarpus Leucocalyx, chebuli heart, also called Nectar of Immortality - Tinospora cordifolia, musk, juniper and saffron.
Incense strings can be burned "standing up" in various containers, such as censers and smoking bowls , filled with fine sand, where we can stick them in like incense sticks, light their end and blow them out after burning for a while so that they only smolder. They can also be placed on the wire sieves of censers, in stone bowls, wooden chests or hung on a special stand designed for burning incense sticks.
Always make sure the incense strings are in a safe area away from places where their burning could cause a fire. Keep cords out of reach of children.
