Wood box and stand for incense sticks with lotus symbols
Richly carved decorative wooden box and rosewood stand at the same time for incense sticks on bamboo chips and cones. The box is decorated with Lotus symbols. The box also serves as a storage box. The stand is locally hand-carved from the wood of the Indian tree Sheesham, also called Indian rosewood. The open box serves as a holder for sticks and at the same time catches fallen ashes during their burning, the lower part of the box is a storage space for sticks. When burning incense sticks, the box can be closed, with fine smoke rising through the individual holes cut. The length of the box is about 31 cm. Illustrative illustration.
The sticks are not included in the package.
Use: insert the end of the bamboo chip into one of the holes on the sides of the open box. The incense stick can be ignited before insertion or even after insertion into the hole. A fragrant cone can be placed on the metal recess inside.
The lotus flower is a picture of the beginning of the world, the origin of life. It is an ancient symbol of rebirth, beauty, life, happiness, purity and spirituality, the unity of the micro and macrocosm, a symbol of the harmony of male and female origin. The lotus was and still is, a particularly revered symbol of many cultures, especially in ancient Egypt, and now in India and China.
