Feng Shui statuette of Shiva Nataraja brass
Beautiful brass statuette of Shiva Nataraja, depicting the dancing god Shiva, a symbol of the eternal renewal of the universe. Shiva, the king (raja) of dance (nata), dances his divine cosmic dance and is considered a symbol of the ever-moving universe. Shiva is surrounded by flames that offer protection from disturbing external influences, the fire destroys the old universe and thus creates space for a new, symbolizing the eternal cycle of existence. In his right hand he holds a drum, an image of the rhythm of creation. Sometimes the statuette is depicted with a torch in the other right hand, a symbol of destruction and restoration. The left hand pointing down symbolizes humility. The statuette is made of brass, height is about 14 cm, weight about 160 g.
