Bedroom according to Feng Shui - inspiration in several rules

Sleep is the attenuation-relaxation phase of the body ... no, we will not bother you with professional definitions.

The bedroom is a room designed for completely pleasant activities that lead to relaxation both physically and mentally. It is a bedroom where we spend a lot of time and therefore deserves our attention in terms of appearance and functionality.
The bedroom is one of the most important rooms in our homes, designed for relaxation, while in sleep we are in a passive state and we are affected by all its energy.

Sleep is referred to as the passive "yin" state. Yin energy is perceived as intuitive and provides a quiet spiritual power, in nature it symbolizes the feminine energy, in contrast to the life force Yang, which is active, dynamic and spirited, and in nature it symbolizes the masculine element.

Rule 1 - location of the bed

The bed should be in a dominant position, with a separate wall, so that your feet point towards the door, but not directly against it. It should not be opposite the wall next to the toilet. In the Feng Shui bedroom, avoid having a window behind your head. It emotionally disturbs a peaceful sleep, especially if the bedroom is downstairs.
The three sides of the bed should remain free. If there is a partner in your life, the bed should be so big that no one feels bound and has their own space. The shared bed creates connection and harmony. If possible, do not place the bed under lowered ceilings, beams or sloping ceilings.

Rule 2 - Make sure your bed has a firmly connected headboard
The forehead symbolizes stability and support in life, especially in romantic relationships. The forehead should not resemble a lattice so that you do not feel like a prisoner.

Rule 3 - decluttering
Decluttering means cleansing leading to a simplified and orderly life, it is the first step towards minimalism. A large number of things does not necessarily lead to a higher feeling of happiness. Many of us may have experienced a time when one pair of shoes was enough, with a single-plate cooker, with one baking tray, with 1-2 coats ... a lot of things are undoubtedly pleasant, necessary for someone and it should always be true that every thing it has a place for our lives to be organized, as it leads to greater stability, self-confidence and encourages more consistent thinking, perception, feelings and decisions.
From the point of view of minimalism, there should be an open, clean space under the bed. Every thing under the bed can represent subconscious blocks in our lives. Shoes can evoke a feeling of constant movement, letters from ex-partners can cause strands in the past, but also in the current relationship, which cannot be developed. The life force of qi must constantly flow and have a positive effect on us even during sleep.
If you have a bed with storage space, store soft items such as bed linen, blankets and pillows.

Rule 4 - Reduction of electric and magnetic fields generated by electronic devices
Devices that are a source of electric or magnetic field can have a negative effect on sleep quality. The devices in the bedroom disrupt not only sleep, but also circadian rhythms (one of the biorhythms, ie fluctuations in activity and alertness with a daily, monthly or annual period). Before going to bed, they distract our attention. If possible, try to keep the electronics out of the bedroom. There should only be a book and an alarm clock on the bedside table.

Rule 5 - bedside tables
If you want to place a bedside table next to the bed, then two are more suitable than one. Asymmetry can be disturbing.

Rule 6 - Choose from feng shui friendly colors with gray, blue and black accents
Wondering how to paint a bedroom according to feng shui? Wondering why gray, blue and black accents? Why these bedroom colors according to Feng Shui?
Gray represents balance and neutrality, and in Feng Shui the energy of metal, supporting creativity, concentration and the energy of one's own effort and determination. Blue and black are the colors of the element Water.

Water_energy

Blue color helps to relax, think, suppress stress and grief. The energy of water is connected with the area of careers and life paths. These colors are suitable to complement any space that is used for rest, meditation, relaxation or prayer. Water is the energy of silence, strength, calm and purification. It is the embodiment of unrealized possibilities and abilities. She is pliable and very strong. The water element brings the power of regeneration and rebirth, it is the energy of the circle of life. The water flow is lively and nourishing and is suitable for promoting health and well-being, at home and in the office.
You can put one of the minerals assigned to this energy on the bedside table, such as aquamarine, dumortierite, turquoise, sodalite, hematite, lapis lazuli, but also amber and others.
So how to paint a bedroom according to feng shui? The choice of colors depends on your expectations. If you long for passion, add red tones, pink and peach shades are suitable to support the partnership. Earthy and neutral tones provide support, are not disturbing and encourage relaxation. Green is a traditional color for soothing.

Rule 7 - bedroom feng shui and paintings
The image of the bedroom according to Feng Shui undoubtedly belongs. Works of art directly affect our lives. Romance is supported by family photos located outside the bedroom. If you are looking for a partnership, avoid pictures of single people, choose from works that show couples. If you are prone to sadness and sorrow, place the image or photo at eye level or even higher to support the life force of qi.

Rule 8 - Books
Many of us love books. However, if you have trouble falling asleep or sleeping, do not place the bookcase in the bedroom. A book on the bedside table is fine, but too many books stimulate our minds and distract us from targeted rest.

Rule 9 - are you strengthening? Then do not place any appliances or fitness equipment in the bedroom. Training equipment represents yang energy, ie active energy, but the bedroom must radiate passive energy - yin energy.

Rule 10 - "working life" does not fit into the bedroom
Work desk, folders, notepaper - none of this belongs in the bedroom. If there is no residue, separate the work tools with a curtain or at least cover the table with a beautiful tablecloth.

Rule 11 - flowers to the bedroom according to Feng Shui
Add vivid green plants to the bedroom, which supply life to the space and improve air quality. Keep the plant in good condition. Remove withered, unsightly leaves. Decorative plants thanks to flowers, after flowering replace with flowering. Plants encourage growth. If you are unsure of regular care, choose a plant that is not demanding.

Rule 12 - Bed linen in Feng Shui bedroom
Choose hypoallergenic materials, patterns that soothe.

Rule 13 - Clean your bedroom
How best to clean not only the bedroom? Using electric aroma diffusers, scented diffusers with sticks, scented sprays. Choose a light, non-irritating scent, such as orange oil, and smell the whole area. Many essential oils are used for aromatherapy - to relieve headaches, improve breathing in respiratory diseases, to soothe and induce mental well-being.

Feng Shui, like other principles, different rules and recommendations, is not a universal approach and solution. It is therefore important to trust your own instincts, to follow your taste, perception and your own feelings.

The layout of the bedroom is also important, for example, from the point of view of stress suppression and improvement of the quality of sleep, ie an environment suitable for meditation on a good night's sleep, before going to bed.
