Black striped agate

Black striped agate , also known as "Black and White" chalcedony , is a black agate with distinct stripes of white, gray and sometimes brown. It is a stone of grounding and harmonizes the basic, i.e. root chakra.
It is used for self-control, increasing endurance, strength and to suppress anxiety. It is a stone of calmness and promotes inner contemplation.
It brings health, prosperity and a sense of security.
This type of agate was very popular in the Victorian period (in the United Kingdom during the reign of Queen Victoria from June 1837 to January 1901) in the form of rings or brooches.
