These coin curtains are often hung on door handles, in the hallway or in entrance areas. They are supposed to radiate an atmosphere of happiness and abundance so that the wealth of residents and guests increases. Inner satisfaction leads to harmonious and peaceful coexistence in the house.
In China, the "3" represents community and liveliness.
The coin has been a classic symbol of luck and prosperity in China for centuries. One coin represents this aspect as a whole. The braided coin ribbon gives us a very beautiful example of how we are entangled and intertwined with fate and objects in this world. An interaction that also invites us to think about our mental well-being.
When coins are used in Feng Shui, they are a sign of "Heavenly Man" harmony.
For many centuries, Chinese coins were (and still are) a highly sought-after symbol that signified prosperity and possessed much wealth. The Chinese coin itself has an interesting design and display; because it is round, with a square opening in the centre, it is said to be a representation of the earth surrounded by heaven. For this reason, when used by humans, they are a sign of "Heaven-Earth-Human" harmony.
The coin has two sides: the Yang side, which boasts the four Chinese characters of the emperor's reign, and the Yin side, which has 2 characters. Coins are usually tied on a red or gold string according to auspicious Chinese numbers, each of which has its own meaning: three (harmony of heaven, earth and humanity), five (symbolism of protection from danger), six (symbolism of luck in heaven) or nine ( the entire universe).
