Meditation - types

In this article, we build on the previous one, in which we explained the purpose of meditation, which aids can be used for meditation and in which areas it should be performed.

There are many meditation techniques, some of which we will describe.

Let's start conveniently: meditation for beginners

Meditation_still life

It is important for meditation that you are able to concentrate, ie do not run to topics such as: what for dinner, what the weather will be like tomorrow, what I have to arrange everything, etc. Counting will help you with that. Find a corner where no one will disturb you, turn off the lights and light a candle, or any number of them. This will create an atmosphere that is not common, which evokes something special. Take a comfortable position. Set your alarm for a reasonably long time, in minutes. Start breathing regularly. Count each inhale and exhale, preferably from 1 to 10. On the next inhale, start again from 1. You will definitely tend to count further, ie 11, 12 ... repeated counting from 1 to 10 will keep your attention only on your own breathing, without you would be distracted by anything else.
Create a regular, pleasant meditation ritual.
To create a pleasant environment, we recommend scenting the air with essential oils or scented waxes, whether through an aroma lamp, aroma diffuser or scented spray.

Angel meditation
The condition of meditation is faith in guardian angels.
Angels - beings considered our protectors and spiritual guides to our lives. They are considered messengers of God. Do you believe in guardian angels? Do you communicate with them? Angel meditation will help you connect with them, feel love and kindness. When meditating, your angel asks for his protection and for you to be safe. With this type of meditation you can get into complete peace and relaxation, you can feel composure and harmony. Ask your angels for help.
Angel meditation requires complete peace. Turn off the light, light a candle, preferably an angel.
You can supplement the meditation with a prayer to the guardian angel. Ask your guardian angels for help, for example, "my dear angels of love please help me heal my heart" or "please help me to heal my body and mind".

Guardian angel - protector

Prayer to the guardian angel:

A spiritual protector who provides constant protection to me, my loved ones and my friends, and who helps me. Give guidance to those who help me with answers to my problems and provide comfort to my soul. Tell me what I must do tomorrow and give strength and courage to my troubled soul. Let my problems disappear and restore my faith. Amen.
In meditation we will be able to listen to our thoughts. 72 angels, including archangels, can be asked for help.

Archangels
Michael - the Defender who provides help and support, strengthens our courage to make a difference in life. His name means "one who looks like God" or "one who is like God."
Jofiel - the archangel of art and beauty, promotes pleasant thoughts in us, teaches us to appreciate the surrounding beauty. He is considered the patron saint of artists. His name means "God's beauty".
Chamuel - is a powerful leader in the realm of angels, a kind protector of the world from negative influences. It protects us from the fear of the unknown, helps in love relationships, friendships and finding the meaning of life. His name means "one who sees God."
Gabriel - a female archangel, is the patron saint of artists and successful negotiations. He inspires, motivates and is a protector for parents who want to have children. His name means "God is my strength."
Rafael - is the patron saint of doctors and travelers. Meditate with thoughts of this archangel when you need help with the mind, bodily ailments or souls. Rafael's color is green, the color of growth, the embodiment of the life force of birth and development. Green is the color of new relationships, activities, used to support the implementation of plans and increase efforts to achieve set goals. It is the color of productivity, prosperity, material success, promotes health and physical growth.
Uriel - is an archangel who provides enlightenment to knowledge, warns of danger and preaches prophecy. He is considered the wisest of all archangels. His name means "God is light".
Zadkiel - is the archangel of mercy and lust. We should be merciful not only to ourselves but also to others, to be able to forgive. His name means "God's justice."
Samuel is a powerful leader in the realm of angels, a kind protector of the world from negative influences. It protects us from the fear of the unknown, helps in love relationships, friendships and finding the meaning of life. His name means "one who sees God." Its color is light pink, Chamuel protects partnerships and unconditional love, which provides a sense of security.
Archangel Samuel can also be asked for help in those cases where we want or need to strengthen loyalty and passion in an existing partnership. We also call Samuel to heal old emotional wounds, wrongs and betrayals.

Do you still want to have your mineral guardian angel with you? You can choose guardian angels by date of birth , by the color of the personal stone , or by your own heart, intuitively.

Zen meditation
The goal of meditation in a quiet place is to achieve peace and emptiness of mind.

ZAZEN meditation
Zen = achieving a clear mind and using it. It means love and help to those around you, the ability to understand the real truth, the essence of things, to see the world as it really is - to see, to feel, to listen. Is it necessary to detach oneself from one's opinions and thoughts, because the opinions of different people differ and which one is better? The mind must detach itself from everything it clings to.
The truth can be known through "awakening" most often during meditation, in the position of the lotus flower with the hands placed in the lap (left in the right), with the thumbs connected. Spine erect, body relaxed, eyes closed, concentration on breathing, with exhalation slightly longer than breath. It is possible to use a round pillow for the position.

Regular meditation can stimulate the perception of life. The goal is to keep the mind calm and focused in daily life. Meditation and relaxation can help you manage stress.

Vedic meditation
Vedic meditation is another way to calm the mind. Like Zen meditation, it is performed sitting, with the eyes closed. This meditation can be performed anywhere, without special aids or environment.
It differs from Buddhist meditation techniques in that the principle is not meditation and the pursuit of compassionate thinking, but the mantra.

Mantra (man - thinking, instrument, or literally true word). Mantras are words or phrases .... and especially their sound, they are used for repeated recitation or meditation (repetition only in the mind), the goal is to calm the mind.

The mantras for each chakra are as follows:
- root chakra: laahm (pronounce: lam),
- sacral chakra: vaahm (pronounce: vam),
- solar plexus chakra: raahm (pronounce: ram),
- heart chakra: yaahm (pronounce: jam),
- throat chakra: haam (pronounce: ham),
- Third Eye Chakra: ohmm or aumm (pronounce: om),
- crown chakra: silent contemplation.

In Vedic meditation, the sounds of mantras are used, without words. Over time, you should move into a state of inner satisfaction, feel happy and be able to stay balanced.
20 minutes in the morning and evening will suffice for this type of meditation. It can be practiced anywhere where you can focus on the sound of the mantra and thus get rid of the perception of the world around you.

The methods of meditation are different, eg dynamic meditation , deep meditation, meditation before going to bed and to calm the mind, etc. Meditations can, for example, be led by an experienced teacher.
