Staurolite
STAUROLITE, ALSO CALLED FAIRY CROSS , is a stone that grounds, soothes and soothes stress, anxiety and fear.
The name "staurolite" comes from the Greek word "stauros" , meaning cross . The stones have a prismatic shape and are commonly found in the form of two parts that cross each other at a certain angle, forming a cross inside the stone.
Crystals of the very rare staurolite mineral can be dark red-brown to black-brown, yellow-brown, rare blue and light golden yellow when cut, with a hardness of 7 to 7.5. The staurolite stone is quite unique in that a natural cross shape is formed inside the stone. Staurolite is also known as "Fairy Stones" or "Fairy Cross" because the cross in staurolite is said to embody an energy that helps you connect with beings from the natural world.
Previously, people believed that the cross in staurolite was formed by the tears of the fairies , who wept when they heard of Christ's crucifixion. From the first moment when people once discovered the cross in staurolite, staurolite was considered a great talisman. To this day, many believe that staurolite carries a charm that protects children from evil spirits, slows down the effects of aging in the elderly, and helps find lost objects.
Staurolite is a crystal of transformation and is used as a talisman to increase the desire to find a way to change a part of your life to your liking. It can help find a new way, approach or support the effort to get what we wish for ourselves.
The brown color of staurolite is the color of home , hearth and nature. Thus, this stone is grounding and connects us with nature. Brown is the color of relaxation and peace, which is why this stone is suitable for meditation. The humanizing energy of staurolite helps relieve stress, anxiety and fear.
In Feng Shui, staurolite is associated with wood energy and is traditionally associated with the east or southeast area of a house or room. This energy supports good family relationships, health and prosperity.
